Waterproofing

Waterproofing shoes – especially suede shoes – is very helpful before wearing them for the first time and often determines how long the shoes will last. The waterproofing spray forms an invisible protective layer that prevents water from penetrating your shoes. This also results in fewer water stains and means that the shoes won’t absorb water.

Proper drying

If you get caught out in the rain in your leather shoes, quick and effective care is important. Here are a couple of tips.

Don’t dry them with a hair dryer or on a radiator! If your shoes are wet, we recommend using a shoe tree or inserting newspaper, if necessary, to help them retain their shape and draw out any moisture.

Care

Once dried, gently brush the outer surface with a suede brush or crêpe brush. If there are any stains, use a suede eraser or a clean, dry towel to remove them.

It’s important to use a waterproofing spray for suede shoes. Spray from around 30 cm away, allow the shoes to dry thoroughly and repeat the treatment regularly. This will help to protect your shoes.
